Embodied Giving - the power of purpose

There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
Maya Angelou

When our nervous systems are permanently activated or we are lacking in purpose, we are naturally selfish. When we feel unfulfilled by our lives, we distract we go shopping, eat food, go to the gym, turn to drink or drugs, over work - I remember the distractions well!
Our soul wants to reduce the gap between our reality and our desire which is our purpose. But instead of turning in and listening, we dial up the distraction, because the gap between ourselves and our higher purpose feels deeply uncomfortable.

...And it's meant to.

We don't enter at the world selfish. Our society schools us in it because it creates separation.

It's uncomfortable to admit selfishness, but it's also very freeing, and a huge step towards finding our higher purpose. One of the ways we begin to tap into our higher purpose is to transform our selfishness into selflessness by

Considering the feelings of others
Coming to learn we are interconnected with all others
There are so many opportunities to serve - the smile to a stranger, the presence with our partner or child, holding space for a friend in need

We need to build the bandwidth for this level of natural altruism.
It's who we are by nature. We're just out of practice.

Our higher purpose will always have an altruistic tone to it.
Once we begin to feel our higher purpose in service
Our radiance emerges
Our health blossoms
We glow the aura of our altruism.

Nothing is more powerful than altruistic giving, nothing makes us feel more fulfilled then our generousness. We don't need a lot to give a lot. It's about how we spend our most precious commodity of all; our time. When we give our heart freely to others, we can expand time, contracting the heart and selfish acts constricts time.  This month the abide in your true essence community are building this bandwidth with practices and contemplations to shift from passive understanding to active, embodied service to others. Expanding the heart chakra

The new energies that are coming in requires us all to locate the vibration of our higher purpose, to allow it to flow into our relationships and into our work. This is the current of healing and prosperity - it's our true power. It will test us to put strong boundaries in place to protect our highest commodity - our personal frequency.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
Margaret Mead

It's also important to remember that we cannot give from an empty cup so selflessness begins with sacred self care. True nourishment begins within. Not in sacrifice, but in rhythm—in knowing when to give, when to rest, and when to simply be

Here's some contemplations on nourishment in service to your purpose to serve ...

1.    What am I feeding myself that either nourishes or drains my life force?

(What do I consume—physically, mentally, or emotionally—that fuels my creativity, energy, and joy, and what might I need to release to restore my vitality?)

2.    In what ways do I nourish the people around me—what am I offering that helps others grow and thrive?
(How can I give from a place of abundance and overflow, so that my contribution is sustainable and full of vitality?)

3.    What are the beliefs, people, or environments I surround myself with, and do they nurture or deplete my energy?
(How can I create and maintain spaces that invigorate my spirit, helping me stay connected to my creative flow?)

4.    How can I better integrate self-care and nourishment into my routine, ensuring I am fully charged and prepared to share my gifts?
(What daily practices or rituals will nourish my body, mind, and soul, so I can give from a place of vitality?)

5.    When was the last time I gave from a place of overflow, where I had so much life force and creativity that it naturally poured out into others?
(How can I structure my life to ensure I am continually replenished, so I can be the strongest pillar of support for my family/community?)
