Don't Wait for Pain to Give You Permission

There's a pattern most of us know intimately, even if we've never named it.

We wait.

We wait for the right moment. The right timing. The right conditions. We tell ourselves we'll make the change when things settle down, when we have more money, more time, more certainty.

And while we're waiting, something else is happening.

Something is trying to reach us - The Light Responds to Movement.

Here's what I've been sitting with deeply this month — and what our Abide community has been leaning into as part of September's theme of purification:

When we make even a small first move toward what our soul is asking for, that effort awakens a response. When we take the first uncertain step — life meets us with far more than our effort alone could produce.

Our destiny answers to our movement. We call it forward by taking the first step toward it.

This has been illuminated for me as I've stepped into some big new containers — spaces that have required a beginner's mind. And I'm watching how it's all being lined up for me. But there was deep resistance first. Financial resistance. Time resistance. A whole story about why I should or shouldn't do it.

The resistance wasn't a sign to stop. It was the threshold.

The Three Stages of Guidance

First, it comes gently. As inspiration. A nudge you can't quite shake.

If we ignore that, it comes a little louder. As a hint. A small disruption.

And only when we keep ignoring the signals does the message finally arrive as pain — because by then it is the only thing loud enough to make us move.

Most of us wait until that final stage. I definitely have.

We change the relationship after it breaks. We make the decision after a crisis forces our hand. We finally listen after the body says no.

But it doesn't have to be that way.

Proactive Spirituality

This is what I'm calling it now: proactive spirituality.

The willingness to move while things still look fine. Simply because your soul is asking for more.

You do not have to wait for pain to give you permission.

When you make the first move from that place, your energy is transmitting : I am willing to participate in my own transformation. And that willingness is exactly what draws more of what aligns with that towards us

This is purification in its truest sense. Not waiting for life to strip you bare. Not waiting for the crisis to burn away what no longer serves. But choosing — consciously, deliberately — to let go before you're forced to.

Think of one area where you've been waiting for the perfect moment.

The text you keep postponing. The decision you keep circling. The conversation you keep avoiding. The yes you keep holding back.

Waiting can feel safer. But it usually just keeps your life in a holding pattern.

One small step, taken on purpose, is enough to awaken the response.

Today's Mantra

I do not wait for pain to move me. I make the first move toward what my soul is asking for, and my effort awakens the light to meet me.

This type of contemplation is what is what sits inside the abide in your true essence community ... a monthly community for women walking this path.

A Space to Keep Remembering

Each month I channel a theme. Throughout the month, we stay with it through regular contemplation's, check-ins, and a monthly gathering with guided shamanic journey, breath work, and tools for self-mastery.

Our conditioning and our lives are designed to make us forget. The busyness. The demands. The old patterns that pull us back into doing, performing, proving. This space is designed to keep us remembering — together

If this lands — if you feel the nudge, the whisper, the pull — don't wait for it to get louder.

The next Rebirth Your True Essence container begins October 29th. It's a conscious descent — a heroine's journey that means you don't need life to fall apart to reclaim your wholeness. If you know this is for you this time round don't miss the early bird

Discovery calls are open now.
