The Year Everything Fell Away

This time last year, I had just returned from a plant medicine retreat.

Lots of ego deaths occurred. I came home cracked open, raw, tender. And instead of integrating slowly, I walked straight into the depths of leaving my beautiful family home. The safety of the family unit. The ending of a twenty-year marriage. Moving into my own space without my teenage children.

This was on the back of a big heartbreak — a rapid, unexpected rupture of a relationship that had mattered deeply & the loss of the community from which the relationship was seeded

Everything familiar was falling away at once.....

And the question I kept returning to was this: How do we stay anchored when we feel like we're being stripped bare?

The Undoing Is Not a Mistake

Here's what I learned.

There are times when the uncertainty, the deep unknown, feels like being untethered. Everything familiar falls away — and it falls away because it's meant to. This undoing is the seed of the becoming.

And there's no handbook.

Just like all feminine initiations — childbirth, menopause, the empty nest, the grief of old identities dying — this calls for a surrender to the unknown. The bigger the loss, the deeper the pain, the more capacity we have to experience something very new. A version of ourselves we could never have imagined emerging. A version that's more whole. More free.

Burning the Story

We've just crossed the spiritual new year — a time for purification.

So I decided to burn my journals. The ones that housed the story of the past eighteen months.

My friend stoked the fire and held the space. I sat immersed in the pages — not one day missed. Each entry captured the journey of the descent and the ascent that followed.

Grief and fear. More grief and fear. Page after page.

And in amongst all of that — so much love. So much connection.

The thread that allowed me to move beyond the feeling of being lost at sea when my old identities crumbled wasn't just my strength. It was my willingness to be held. By friends. By healers. And the continual reminder that I was being held by something much bigger than me.

My years of practice ensured I stayed in my own body. Feeling it all. Not bypassing — even on the darkest of those days.

Lessons from the Pain

Here's what the fire showed me.

I had made me. Even when I felt the urge to outsource my power and seek the answers elsewhere, I was my own anchor.

My unconscious trauma made me a match to experiences. Even after years of shadow work, there were depths I hadn't yet met. And they were running the show beneath the surface.

My deep need to stay in the familiar made the undoing more painful. I resisted the soul's longing for change. I held on. And the eventual breaking open hurt more because of it.

The Call Beneath the Chaos

Loving ourselves is where these initiations are calling us towards.

If we keep self-abandoning, if we keep not choosing ourselves, the resistance becomes more painful. The lack of internal congruence makes us a match to external in congruence. We fall out of alignment — and life reflects it back to us.

Here's what I feel strongly...

You don't need life to fall apart to reclaim your wholeness.

This is why Rebirth Your True Essence exists.

It's a heroine's journey — a conscious initiation. You still do life. But meanwhile, you enter the descent. The stripping away of the stories and identities that have kept you safe but small.

And you rebirth. Lighter. More whole.

I can't guarantee life won't still initiate you. Whatever you have to face — relationship, health, financial — you'll have the embodied wisdom to move through it with grace. Because this conscious descent reveals the gifts laying dormant under the parts of you that you unconsciously cast out.

The Invitation

The next container begins October 29th.

I'm holding discovery calls now.

If you've been feeling the pull — if the whisper has grown louder, if the old identities are starting to feel too tight — this is the space to descend consciously. To be held. To come home to yourself without waiting for life to force your hand. If this speaks to you connect me before September 29th

A Descent into the Shadow to Reclaim Our Power & Sovereignty

As Venus enters her shadow territory, you may feel the call to become intimate with your own feminine shadow. This is the territory where our sexuality lives — an area that has been shamed for a reason: it is our own power.

Join us for a 5-hour retreat-style workshop where we journey with the Eve, Lilith, and Kali archetypes to cut the cords of guilt and shame.

Who is the Dark Goddess?

She is the darker part of our psyche — the part that wants to shake up the world and shout her truth from the rooftops, often in a rebellious and radical kind of way. She is the truth seeker, the black sheep, the wild woman, the warrior. The witch. The seer. The archetype that many men and society at large fear.

Why? Because she is FREAKIN' POWERFUL.

In the beginning, there was darkness.
It is from the place of darkness — the place of pure potential — that light is born. Those who are not willing to face their fear of the darkness within will not awaken to their greatest light.

It is in the dark we meet her: the face of the Dark Mother. She who initiates us deep into the underworld, into the wound of the Great Mother. You may know her as Lilith or Kali — goddess of death and rebirth. She is the bringer of storms, the agent of chaos, the serpent goddess of Kundalini. And she is here to awaken you
